First of all, the Sevele family. We've already met the eldest son, Ama, who married Berthe Mau.
His parents live in Tapuwhai town. His mother runs the local spa, and is doing quite well. His father used to be an athlete, but nowadays he's more interested in perfecting his chess game.
Their house is large, for Simoan standards, that is. It's actually a very tiny lot, and the house isn't as big on the inside as it looks on the outside... I made this house myself, and I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.
Ama has one younger brother, Vimal, who is still in school.
Vimal wants to go into business, like his mother - only better, of course. He's got quite a few ideas already...

The closest neighbours of the Sevele family are the Schiffers.
Fonzell Schiffer used to be a professional surfer. On a visit to the island, he fell in love with the pretty Sifoua Kumala, who didn't lose any time and snagged him before he knew what was happening.
Nowadays, he no longer surfs, but he still keeps his shape. He's nowhere near as fanatical about it as Sifoua, though. Sifoua tries every trick in the book to look younger, and seems to succeed beyond expectation. Rumour has it that she had a facelift the last time they were in Europe to visit Fonzell's German relatives...
Fonzell loves the island, and the family life. At the moment, the family life seems to be centered around their youngest, Ata - the baby they were no longer expecting at their age.
Sifoua, of course, tells everyone that at 'her age' it was only to be expected. And in fact, some uncharitable individuals say they're certain that the only reason Sifoua and Fonzell had a baby in the first place, is so they could keep up the pretense that they are in no way approaching middle age.
Sifoua and Fonzell take great pride in their nursery.
In fact, they're very proud of their entire house.
Sifoua and Fonzell spend a lot of time with their Sim Nation relatives. Sifoua says she goes to the mainland for 'health reasons'. However, rumour has it that she mainly goes there to visit plastic surgeons and have botox treatments.

The Schiffers do have another son, Kurt, but they do not see much of him any more.
About a year ago, Kurt suddenly announced he had married a woman called Margo Tumeke. She's lot older, and it was known far and wide that she has a serious nectar problem. However, Kurt was determined to 'save' her from herself.
When it became apparent that his parents would never accept Margo as his wife, Kurt broke off all connnections with his parents. He and Margo live in a pink house behind the hospital, two doors away from the Stevensons. They recently had their first baby, Celestine.
Not all is well in the Tumeke-Schiffer household, though. Apparently Margo can't leave the nectar alone, and she's been neglecting herself, her house and her baby. Kurt is becoming quite desperate - he refuses to go 'crawling' back to his parents, but he doesn't quite know how to balance a job, childcare, the housekeeping and trying to take care of Margo at the same time.

The last family in the original save game is the Ling family. Tschura Ling married a girl called Crystal, from Israel.
Crystal is very much involved in politics, and really wanted to make a difference to the island. However, she found soon that island morals did not allow her to work while their son Morris was a child, and eventually she gave up her job. This is Morris as he looks now:
When Morris turned teenager, she went back to work, but much to her surprise (and secret disgust) she got pregnant again.
This time she is determined not to let island morality stop her from reaching her goal, though. In spite of all the opposition, she kept working, leaving her babies to the babysitter, or her husband, if he happened to be at home.
Tschura isn't happy with this state of affairs, but there's not much he can do about it. Forcing the issue would probably ruin his marriage, and to avoid losing face he has to pretend to agree with this entire situation - to do so otherwise would show everyone on the island who is really boss in his household, which is something he'd give anything to avoid.
The Ling twins are made up of the baby they have in the new save game, together with the baby they had instead in the older (no longer available) save game.
I used Super Computer to add Rima to the family, slightly change her name and make her exactly the same age as Delvin. The idea of having poor Crystal cope with twins was too good to pass up. LOL!!!
