These are some of the things Willow Windkeeper reported in the Niua Simoa Chronicles for this week.
Spooky Phenomenon, or Over-active Imagination?
The Ngatea family was surprised by a strange pink bunny which suddenly appeared on their kitchen floor.
Psychics that were called in from Sim City declared it to be harmless and not possessed by any kind of evil spirit or entity, but Gretchen Ngatea says it still gives her the creeps.
"Now it's in the kitchen, then it's in the garden... I even saw it riding a miniature llama earlier this week!"
Takai Ngatea refused to comment. The story seems highly unlikely, but on the other hand, stranger things have been known to happen here.
The jury is still out on this one.
What happend to the Harawira/Tumeke fortune?
We all know of the late Mrs Tumeke's unfortunate nectar addiction, and how it shaped the lives of her three children, John, Daniel and Margo.
While Daniel shook off the effects early on and went on to become a doctor, Margo took a lot longer. But she, too, appears to have overcome her problems.
But what happened to John? It is said he made a fortune in France, trading. But when one of our sources visited France the other day, they found Losa Harawira-Tumeke behind the cash register of the local nectary.
Did John drink away his fortune, leaving poor Losa forced to work for a living? Or did John make the same mistake as his father and is it Losa who has the problem? And why does their son live here, and not with his parents? Is he really as 'difficult' as his parents have claimed?
This merits further investigation!
Strange illness hits the Palefau family
Both Moorea Palefau and his wife Claudine have not been seen at their workplace for the entire week.
It now turns out that they contracted some kind of bug, tentatively called EA1.26 for some reason. It has made it impossible for them to get up and go to work during working hours. Apparently this bug has hit random families as far away as Sunset Valley.
Claudine seems to have taken the problem badly - she is quite certainly not her normal self.
The treatment for this unfortunately ailment is risky. If things go wrong, the patients may end up with total amnesia - not even remembering their own families.
"The treatment could take a long time," says Dr Tumeke. "Sometimes it is best to actually rebuild the patient entirely." Whatever that means...
We do wish Moorea all the best and hope that he will be better soon. (And we don't really care what happens to Claudine...)
Muriel Potpouri starts private photo studio in her backyard
Builders have been seen working on the Potpouri property. According to our sources, they are building a private studio for Muriel.
In itself that is not surprising - Muriel was, after all, a Sim City professional photographer before she settled here. No, the big question in this case is: where did she get the money?
Of course it's not for us to speculate - but there are rumours that this photo studio has 'royal approval'. And royal funding.
Grocery Stock
At last the first supply of groceries has arrived on the island. There was a rush on the store, and the shelves were cleared before noon. Fortunately there was enough to re-stock.
Setback for Filepi Tapuwhai
Just when Filepi Tapuwhai was ready to open his new 'live show venue', it turned out that regulations had changed again.
However, as Filepi pointed out: "It is disappointing that the club will not open next weekend, but on the other hand, with the new regulations we have been able to put in much improved bar systems, and even put back one of our dance floors."
Apparently the new venue will now be known as the "Royal Tapuwhai Dance Club". Or something like that. We can't wait to see it in use!
Princess Sima spotted in China
Our photographer in Shang Simla recently spotted Princess Sima in the Forbidden City. It seems likely that she accompanied her sister Lu, who had been visiting for the past week or so.
This reporter would not be surprised if she only followed to make sure Lu was safely back home and not likely to return...
(The following pictures were removed from this column at the request of the royal family...)
(Remember, you never saw these pictures! They do not exist!)
