While they were gone, Filepi and his wife both had a make-over. Filepi got a new wardrobe and let his hair grow, while Mae went to see a beautician and a hairdresser.
Their house is interesting - a mixture of Sim Nation and Simoan styles, apparently.

Salote Tau also made use of her exile to get a new hairdo. She was very happy to find her home still intact, although it was very annoying that every appliance and fixture seemed to be broken. Fortunately, the repairman was quite good-looking!

The next person to get a new hairdo was Margot Tumeke. She combed out all her braids - and turned out to have brown hair, not black as everyone had always thought!
Margot is working hard to get a teaching certificate. She started working as a playground monitor, to help out Tim Chin, the island's only teacher.
The Tumeke-Schiffer family found that there were now only two houses behind the hospital, the third one was apparently washed to the sea... Well, at least theirs was still standing!
He has a very small house, but it's large enough for him alone, and he's not planning on starting a family any time soon. He's far too busy!
Meanwhile, Pete Harawira, Bernice Fuanaki and Colette Ngatea have decided to share a house.
Pete doesn't want to move in with his mother - the house is too small, and Pita is there now, too.
Colette Ngatea briefly considered moving in with her aunt Totara Palefau, but she didn't really like the idea of sharing a house with the ultra-conservative Tane, who does not really approve of independent young women. She decided to share her part of the house with her young cousin Desiree.
Desiree gave up her babysitting job, and was offered a job in the bookstore, which means she'll be able to contribute a fair share of the household money, even though she will still have to go to school.
