Week 27: More updates

I'm letting the Ngateas move around town for the entire week, so that they have some friends when they get back to Egypt and France. Eventually I might bring some of the kids back to be NPCs. I plan to make a few NPC-apartments...
And I should really be doing something about community lots. No rest for the wicked, I guess.

Terrence and Sisana are the first people on Niua Simoa to get one of the newfangled spiral staircases. It took a bit of work to move doors and walls, but Sisana is happy with the result.

And here's just a cute picture of Terrence with his son Manase.

On Thursday there was a formal dance at the school. Much to his own surprise, Feleti Palefau was crowned Prom King:

And somehow during the dance, Feleti fell in love with Taniela Tagaloa. Taniela looks like she doesn't quite know how to feel about this yet, though...

Meanwhile, apparently Big Joe Pataua is upset at a 'romantic betrayal' - meaning he saw Salote Tau
(of all Sims!) snuggling up to somebody else... Sorry, Big Joe, but nobody really understands how this could be a 'betrayal' - since you're the married man here??

And who exactly did Salote 'betray' you with? Ahhh. Topou Ota Ika. Her steady boyfriend... Sorry, Joe, but I don't think anybody is going to feel sorry for you, no matter how much you sulk!!!

In other news - the hospital finally received proper examination couches as well as a simple operating table with a powerful lamp. They even have a box to display X-rays, which was a kind donation from a firm in Sim Nation - unfortunately the hospital doesn't have an X-ray machine.

There have been promises of instruments, more cast-off furniture from Sim Nation hospitals and other 'proper' supplies, but the medical staff is not really counting on anything.

Meanwhile the Ngatea party organisers (mainly Takai and his brother Tokoni) have been setting up party supplies on Totara Beach. Some of them (like the inflatable water slide) are rented only for the party, but the barbecues are a gift and will stay after the party. (And I doubt anyone will bother removing the makeshift firepits either).

Feleti wore a new shirt and some uber-cool sunglasses to the party. If anything, the shirt is even brighter pink than the one he had before. It was a present from his cousin Philipe, who has the same shirt in yellow - it's all the rage in Champ-les-Sims, apparently.

Feleti is re-thinking his future. He always wanted to go to SimNation to become a rockstar. Maybe shack up with a city girl without getting married.
Falling in love with Taniela was not part of that plan. So what to do next? Change his plans or ignore his new feelings for Taniela?
(Note that it doesn't enter his head that Taniela might not even reciprocate his feelings...)

And Noa Bowie has finished repairing and furnishing Rene Sagan's old beach house. So far he hasn't seen any spirits.

(The basement stair are located below the staircase.)

Berthe Sevele is practicing her gnubb skills.
